Holly, Hospital Manager

    Holly is our fabulous manager at JIVH and can be found around the hospital making sure everyone is happy but at the same time, keeping us all in line!  Holly has worked in veterinary medicine since 2002 and was formerly the manager at Flowertown Animal Hospital, Holly most enjoys her interaction with the patients and their families as well as her veterinary team. 

      Holly has lived in the Ladson/Summerville area her entire life and .  Holly has been married for 17 years and has 3 active, wonderful boys (Xander, Owen, and Sully).  Holly’s love of animals has also further filled her home; 3 dogs, 5 cats (ask her about her Dwarf cat Sansa), 2 corn snakes, and 1 bearded dragon.  She enjoys outdoor activities like camping, fishing, and hiking but she also has a passion for baking and trying new recipes.

Penny, LVT

       Penny has been with JIVH for over 30 years and is one of our fabulous Licensed Veterinary Technicians (LVTs). Penny was born in New York, but has called Charleston, SC home since the age of 2.  She attended Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College to earn her Associate's Degree in Veterinary Technology. Her 30 years of experience allows puts all of us at ease that our loved ones are in her hands.

       Penny wears many hats at JIVH with one of her primary rolls being lead surgery technician, caring for her patients' every need intra and post-operatively.  She is proud of the way our entire team strives to provide the absolute best of care for each and every patient and client.  After years of experience, she still says the best thing about her job is seeing a pet going home well after coming in for being sick or hurt. She hopes our clients know how much we care for their pets and that we truly treat each of them like our own.

       When Penny is not caring for your family members at JIVH, she can be found spending time watching her kids, Ben and Sarah, play sports and watching baseball with her husband, Kelly. Her family also includes a beautiful yellow lab, Maelee, and a beautiful cat named Lil Cricket.


    Lindsey has been making us a better hospital for the past for 14 years! Lindsey started her career in the veterinary field with her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from Clemsom University in 2002 (Go Tigers!).  She has a passion for watching both owners and pets grow together and to forever practice the best veterinary care that JIVH can provide. Her goal is that everyone leaves with a better understanding of the importance of preventive veterinary medicine in a friendly and compassionate environment. She wants current and future clients to know that their pet is being cared for by a passionate and competent team that truly does "treat pets like family".

            Outside of work, Lindsey has a close-knit group of friends who do everything from concerts and dinner to road trips and of course, watching Clemson athletics. She also has an obsession with watching the Olympic games.  She is a slave to her cat Fido, who insists on playing fetch, beach volleyball and chasing the infernal red dot



      Anna joined our team in December of 2017 and will soon be a certified veterinary technician!
       Anna is originally from Seneca, SC. She lived in Charleston for a few years before moving to Houston, Texas to attend the Veterinary Technician Institute of Houston.
     Anna recently moved back to Charleston and looks forward to getting to know all of the pets and clients of James Island.  She has an adorable dog named Griffin and in her free time, she loves spending time with him: hiking and looking for sharks teeth on the beach along with her fiance.


      Theresa joined our JIVH team as a Veterinary Assistant in November 2017.  She is originally from Massachusetts and earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Fitchburg State University in 2013 and during her time there, she worked  as a dog groomer.  Since graduating she has worked on several sea turtle conservation projects around the world.  She moved to South Carolina in 2016 to work with the nesting Loggerhead sea turtles in the area.

         Theresa has really enjoyed her time working at JIVH so far and all the experience she is gaining working with the team.  She intends to use this time and experience to eventually further her education and become a certified veterinary technician.

         While not working at JIVH, Theresa spends as much time as possible at the beach and with her Chihuahua mix Taz.  She also volunteers on the weekends at the Edisto Island Serpentarium working with snakes, alligators, and other reptiles.



Nichole joined our JIVH team in August 2018, but she has been working in the veterinary field since September 2013 (and knew she wanted to work with animals at a very young age) .  Nichole has an Associate Degree in Applied Science from Trident Technical College, graduating from the Veterinary Technician Program.  
Nichole is originally from Florida but has called South Carolina home for most of her life. When she is not at the clinic she is at home with her six year old son James and her nine month old puppy Karoline, who both keep her pretty busy!
Rylee moved to Charleston from Aiken, South Carolina in 2012 and received her B.S. in Marine Biology and a minor in Psychology from the college of Charleston in 2016.
Rylee has always loved animals and growing up, had a house full of cats to take care of.   She also has experience caring for larger animals and has been working with horses since the age of 7.  She loves working at JIVH and looks forward to developing lasting relationships with clients and their pets, as well as making sure clients have a deeper understanding of their pet's health and medical care.   
Rylee has 3 awesome pets of her own: Audrey, the most incredible chihuahua, Oliver, a big handsome fuzz ball kitty, and Cooper, a wild child kitten! When she's not working, she enjoys going to the beach and searching for marine critters, tending to her garden, or exploring Charleston. 


    Jordan joined the JIVH family in 2019 after originally working at a clinic in Kentucky for 3 years.  She moved to Charleston to attend the College of Charleston where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Public Health with a minor in Psychology. Charleston stole her heart and she never left after graduation.  She looks forward to taking her education further and getting her Masters soon. 

From a young age, Jordan has always been an animal lover. You could always find her wherever the dogs were.  She has a special place in her heart for rescue pups and rescued her current dog, Phoebe (from the TV show Friends!) from her previous clinic. 

In her free time you can almost always find her at the beach with friends, riding bikes around town, or at a Mexican restaurant eating tacos.
