Dr. Eve Fontanella
Dr. Fontanella was born in Los Angeles, but grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia PA. She got her DVM at Iowa State (go Cyclones!) and moved to South Carolina after graduation in 2018.
Prior to becoming a vet, Eve was a professional cellist! She got introduced to vet med by a faculty research veterinarian while getting her masters degree in Biology, who showed her how diverse and inspiring the field can be!
Eve's goal is to ensure that her clients have the tools and medical input to provide their animal family members with the best and happiest life possible. Her passions are surgery, dentistry, nutrition, geriatric care, and promoting the human animal bond.
Currently, Eve lives in Johns Island with her partner, Tim (an IT guy/computer nerd) and their dog, a border collie named Apollo. She also has a beautiful tuxedo kitty named Oakley (likes include catnip and precisely five tummy pets).
In her time off, she still plays the cello, crochets, bakes, and tries to enjoy all Charleston has to offer (especially the brunches and barbecue). She looks forward to working on James Island and serving this great community
